I feel that social class has to do with everything. After watching that video is shows how some of these people think about others just because they don't have as much money of them. They would be like "those people" to refer to them, like i wanted to punch that guy in the face because he was also probably talking about me because i know i don't have as much money as him. I mean yeah i like to dress nice a lot and like to buy expensive fancy things but i really have to work to get all that and it doesn't just get handed to me like some people. That one women i forgot her name, she lived in a trailer park all her life, i really feel bad for her because she is working full time and trying to support her family to make sure that they have a good life and she doesn't even have a car that she can drive to work in so she has to walk 10 miles to work everyday. That is not a fun life to live. Her son seems like he wants nothing to do with the family, he try's to dress and act like he doesn't live in a trailer park or that he's poor so that he can feel accepted my his group of friends. When i think about it, i am very lucky to live the life that i have and all the things i get and to always have food on the table. Social class is a big thing in the u.s and you can easily tell what social class people are by the way they talk and their body language.

Blog #12: Me and my friend were going to special Olympics to volunteer for community service and we wanted to go get breakfast before. He picked me up and we decided to go to McDonalds, right when we got there he said that he forgot his money, so i said i will pay for you as long as you pay me back because we are pretty close friends.  My friend was actually really shocked that i payed for him because i really don't do that for people because i don't have a lot of money to spend on things because i don't work. It felt good to pay for him because i know that it made him happy, because he got to eat his breakfast because we had a long 8 hours of community service to do. i feel that i should be doing more of this positive deviance.

Blog #10, Gender can be a very confusing thing. All of the things that we have been talking about in class have been very interesting. When we watched the show of the boy in the dress at the toy store, and seeing people actually getting frustrated because that guy was making fun of his son. I figured that people would just be bystanders and not do anything about the situation. If my son wanted to wear a dress would i let him? To be honest id tell him that he could only wear it around the house, but not outside of the house, because no parent likes to see they're son upset because they are getting picked on at school. It does seem weird for boys to play with girls toys rather then girls playing with guys toys and i don't know why, it just seems that way. Some of the arguments have gotten me pretty mad, when people will judge you when you say i would never let my son wear a dress in public, who would?! maybe a few people.

blog#9   One thing that has changed me is my peer group. Growing up i was a pretty quiet kid and i was pretty shy also, When i got to high school i was scared for my life and was like wow how am i supposed to make new friends here. When Jr year hit, everything was going good for me, but i noticed i wasn't hanging out with the right kids and that's when i got in trouble. My senior year i completely changed my friend group and its been the best decision that I've made. Your peers can have a really big influence on what you do in your life, so you have to be careful with the people that you hang out with. I also know im going to college in a few months and that's a time to start over and make new friends which im really looking forward to. In all, my peers have changed my life to what it has become.

Blog #6. American culture. We have been talking about American culture for about the last week in class, and it's very intresting to relize how other people from other countries view American culture. I think that American culture has drastically change. We've become technological culture. I feel that everything we do,revolves around technology. I see people everywhere I go on their phones 24-7 and ya it's even hard for me to not have my phone on me. What do you think is gunna happen to future generations? Everything they do will be so modernized and they wot even write or touch a piece of paper by that time. I can't really tell you what it means to be an American... But I think that a lot of America's have lost the real American culture.

Blog #5. One of my really good friends is Russian and i experienced culture shock, the first time i came to his house. When i came into his house everyone was speaking Russian and i did not understand anything they were saying. Ive noticed that when i go over to his house on the weekends he always has tons of family over for dinner. usually I only have family over on special occasions. It shows that they really value family time and spending tons of time together. I also ate dinner over one night and i tried some Russian chicken that his grandma made and it was really good and interesting to try the food. Also my friend told me how to say thank you to his grandma in Russian, after we ate dinner. Ive been to his house a lot now so I'm getting very used to how his family runs and values things and i feel more comfortable there now. overall, this really shows that his family values spending as much time as they can and having tons of family gatherings for dinner and celebration.

Blog #4. When you really think about it, a lot has to do with social networking. When Facebook came out it was very different from how it is today. I'd say I go on Facebook a lot through out my day to see whats going on with all my friends. A lot of social networking as do with conflict theory, a lot of people want to have the power on Facebook and be the one on top. Someone will make a status or post a picture that will know that will get tons of likes and comments so that they can be the talk on Facebook for 5min. To me, social networking is in everyone and a lot of people would feel very awkward not using text or Facebook messaging to communicate.

I feel like i do the same thing everyday. Wake up early, have to get ready for school and think to myself everyday wow I do not wanna be at school right now. Those thoughts come in my head every week I'm at school. Everyday after school I have to go workout and if i don't then it just feels weird. Also i realized that technology is the way we basically live now. Every morning when i wake up, the first thing i do is look at my phone, it just comes natural to me and I would feel totally lost without my phone and so would a lot people. Also, me and a lot of people are on Facebook 24-7, it is the way to communicate and be able to talk to friends and post pics, its just become so natural to everyone i feel.

Class was interesting today, with that thing we did with the abanond ship. It was really interesting to see what all the classmates were thinking about other people and voting them off the ship.

The first day of sociology class was very awkward. We sat there in silence for a good 10 min, and I thought that Ms.Breuer was waving at me when she really wasn't and that made the situation more awkward when she told me that she wasn't waving at me. So in all, the first day of sociology was very awkward.
